Case parts Making

After I got a fix on making the jumping module, I started to cut and mill stainless case parts. I use carbide end-mill for bore cutting.

I process the other side of the main case with spread chuck.

After forming the step-bezel, make the space for crystal.

This is preparations to produce the lugs.

Dial making Pt.8 / Jumping hour module 1

I started making parts affecting jumping hour module directly. I have to make three star wheels in different sizes. This is one of them, made from steel. Twelve leaves were cut with 70 degree single angler cutter.

Dial making Pt.7

I turned small bushes in the lathe. Some of them is for dial parts. Lever and jumper spring will be screwed on them.

The parts requiring strength were made from steel rod. Deburring is needed.

With M1.0 thread.

Dial making Pt.6

I am making the inner movement holder from brass. Layered dial parts will be screwed on it.
It is a very simple structure but accuracy is needed.

Cutting the opposite side.

Making M1.0 thread and two through holes for screws to fix the holder to the case.

Stainless Case

This is a two-piece case. Case and caseback. Made from stainless steel. Diameter is 41mm and 11mm thickness.

Stepped bezel has six dots(they are not yet made).

Lugs are screwed to main case. I am cutting them from stainless flat bars. That process is taking much time.

Stainless bezels

Today I finished two bezels.
Because diameter of crystals to use is 34mm, I made the space for them with 33.97-8mm.
